Meet Sweets – We knew immediately that she was the one
Sweets bounded into our world in April 2023 as a German Shepherd-shaped comedian—regal goofball/pro snuggler hybrid. Instantly self-appointed Belly Rub Sovereign, she’d collapse dramatically for scritches, grumbling operatically if attention wavered. Her résumé: professional sun-loaf, theatrical sigher, and master of the “Clamps” technique (jaw-locking toys with furry vice-grip conviction).
Though liver failure stole her in January 2025, her mischief lingers—in sunbeams we still sidestep, cheese wrapper PTSD, and couch craters shaped by her champion napping. We ache for her “oops-my-paw’s-on-you” stealth cuddles, her Jedi mind-tricks converting strangers into belly-rub staff, and the ferocity she brought to naps and snack diplomacy. Sleep well, Clamps—may eternity grant infinite sun puddles, treat volcanoes, and admirers for your legendary upside-down sploot.
Meet Dolly – It was love at first site
Dolly, Sweets’ furry heir, exploded into life in May 2025 as a perpetual tornado of paws and passion. At 18 months, this velvet-eared dynamo reigns as Backyard CEO (specializing in squirrel decathlons) and Snuggle Overlord. She treats fetch like a debate—“drop it” is negotiable—and conducts yard patrols with military precision, tail semaphoring imagined treaties to wildlife. Yet beneath her Olympic-athlete exterior lies a master cuddler who dissolves into a sighing fluff puddle at lap-detection.
Inheriting her mom’s sploot skills and lethal affection, Dolly adds signature moves: mid-air Frisbee death-grips and “gardening” via mulch avalanches. Whether executing acrobatic catches or becoming a 70-pound weighted blanket with a licking feature, she embodies joy with a cold nose and ironclad belief that every throw is hers. Sweetness is genetic—but Dolly’s manifesto is written in slobbered toys and hijacked sunbeams.
